Sisal Tranquility

...I have enjoyed living in Sisal for 3 months, searching for a place where peace abounds, natural beauty is everywhere, and accomodations for visitors is welcome and abundant...

...probably the best kept secret along the Gulf Coast, Sisal has enjoyed it´s rich abundance of the good life for many generations, with most tourists being led to the noisier, more hectic paces of traditional gringo expectations...

...and Sisal remains...open,available and so very friendly that you will actually hate to leave...for nothing has yet to compare, for me, to the goodness of this small place...

...sunsets amaze me almost daily...snorkeling and/or diving is waiting for the adventurous to enjoy the reefs only a few kilometers off shore...flamingos live here by the hundreds...alligators prowl this one cenote and from a safe distance you can view them "up close"...the fishermen daily find the octopus, the snapper, the grouper and occasionally a small shark for their evening meals and the restaurants in Merida...

...in Sisal, you´re not a gringo...you are a friend...and the chances for you to enjoy the many sites and experiences is waiting...and it´s so close to Merida, so convenient for the person who hopes to find "the good life" with so much abundance...

...and one validation of all this being true...the residents of Merida come here when they want to go to the ocean...

...Sisal...come once and you´ll hate to leave...come twice and you may stay forever...
