Falafel in Merida!
I am a vegetarian who has been living in Mérida for 3 months. It is extremely difficult
to find yummy vegetarian food here. I have to admit that I am less than impressed with
the food that Amaro serves. I am writing because I have discovered a 100% vegetarian
restaurant that I think should be listed on your website.
The name of the restaurant is Eat Falafel, they are located next to the new ADO station in Plaza Las Brisas. The address of the ADO station is Calle 21 No 202 Local 1 Planta baja entre 5 y 7 Fracc. Alta Brisas. As the name indicates they serve falafel and only falafel, and the best thing is, it is delicious and reasonably priced. A pita sandwich includes falafel, grilled
eggplant, potatoes, cabbage, cucumber, tomato and tahini dressing and is served with a
side of french fries for 30 pesos.
I am not affiliated with this restaurant in any way, I just want them to stay open so I can continue eating there. It is very nice as a vegetarian to be able to go to a restaurant and know that no meat has been around my food. Please, check it out, and if you find it as delightful as I do, list it on your website and do a review for the magazine. Thanks for reading this and thanks for putting out the magazine, it is a wonderful resource.
