The Hotel San Miguel Archangel is located inside the Hun Pic Tok Square right in Izamal's heart, where, in addition to the wonderful sights that our balconies offer, you will be able to find the perfect merger between comfort, colonial ambience, and a touch of magic because it is built in one of the oldest casonas of Izamal's colonial epoch, constructed in the skirts of the Hun Pic Tok pyramid, which was the old Mayan temple dedicated to the deity of the war. The Hun Pic Tok was the source of an angelic power to the Mayas, as it protected them against the incursions of the conquerors.

Delightful hotel! We loved it. It is well worth paying the extra for a room with balcony so you can sit and look at the Convent and the activity below. Great furnishings and decoration with a lovely reclaimed garden and area for the included breakfast. Staff very pleasant too. Situated on the square, where you also park, so ideal location. The birds and bells do wake you early but probably do anywhere in this small, magic town.

We would like to stay in Izamal on Oct 19 for a night or two. We are interested in horse drawn tours to area cenotes and heard about a tour to Cuzama. Do you know about that tour? Thanks, Dan
