Juan Pablo has paved his way in the artistic world of Yucatán with incredible paintings full of bright colors. His Yucatecan identity is a recurring theme in his paintings, and he uses his work to show and promote Yucatán’s cultural wealth. With a unique point of view, Juan Pablo expresses stories which result in one-of-a-kind pieces.
In some of his paintings you can see everyday scenes such as the entrance to the Lucas de Gálvez Market or the Catedral de San Ildefonso; in others he depicts flamingos on the beach or the mangroves of the state. Each and every one of these paintings has the characteristic flair of the painter.
From a young age, he was interested in art and the creative world. After living in Norway and proving that his creations could be sold, he decided to dedicate himself completely to pursuing his dreams and reaching his goals.
After years of hard work and discipline, Juan Pablo continues to marvel us with incredible pieces that hypnotize with their colors and shapes. From mosaics to portraits, there’s no doubt that this Yucatecan painter’s talent and personality come through in each one of his works.
Having sold pieces in Canada, the United States, France, Germany, and Norway, “Pueblo” continues to look for ways to grow further as an artist and share “Uayé” stories with the world (Uayé stories are those which come from a specific place). In his work, he looks to position himself as an icon of Yucatecan art and leave an artistic legacy in our state, country, and world.
